I know, I know...I've been cheating the past couple of posts, trying to string together multiple letters into one clever post, but I have a good excuse.
Since returning from San Francisco last week, I've suffered with a stomach virus, and now a major head and chest cold. But I'm doing well compared to the youngest fair maiden of the Olsen household.
Since Friday, our little birthday girl, Emma has been battling something we thought was just another cold, until she took a turn for the worst yesterday afternoon. She developed a fever which quickly spiked to over 104 degrees F. With timely doses of Tylenol and cold cloth applications, we managed to keep it under control (under 104) until 4 a.m. when she complained of a horrible headache and pain in her back. Those complaints gave us cause for concern that it could be Meningitis.
A visit to the Emergency didn't confirmed the worst, but that she has some pneumonia on her lungs. She's at home again now on heavy antibiotics, and we're struggling with fever spikes again, so I've decided to bow out from the A to Z Challenge until further notice. I know you all understand.
I will pick it up again if I'm able, though. Good luck all my fellow writers and I look forward to catching up to reading your once all of this passes.

Gosh Kelly, this is not good news at all.
My thoughts are with you and you little Emma.
The A-Z challenge is the least of your concerns - the health of your daughter, and any family for that matter, takes precedence.
I will look forward to your return, but take all the time you need.
Warmest wishes for a speedy recovery and good health to you and to Emma.
Jenny
I pray all will be well for you all, of course you and your family
come before the A to Z. we all understand.
Take care and God Bless.
Yvonne.
So very sorry your little one is sick. that is the worst!
Here is my "T" to you - Thinking about you and your family and hoping everyone gets better soon.
Oh no!!!! Oh your poor baby girl!!
Please please take care - pneumonia for a child is serious stuff - I am so so sorry to hear this! I shall keep you all in my heart and hope that you all - esp your Emma - get better.

Scary stuff! Your daughter needs you now. We will be here when you have time. I pray she feels better soon! ♥Laura
Poor Emma! I hope she has a speedy recovery.
Oh no, sorry to hear about you and Emma getting sick. I hope you both get well soon.
Sorry to hear that. First you and now the little one. Here's hoping for a speedy recovery.
Ugh, sick is no fun. Hope you and your baby get well soon!

Thank you, everyone, for you comments and well-wishes. Emma is doing quite better since starting her antibiotics. I, however, after a visit to my doctor this morning, found out that I also have pneumonia and have started a round of antibiotics myself. I probably had it first, maybe picked it up in San Francisco or on the plane, and then gave it to Emma. It develops much quicker in children than adults. I am assured that we will both be fine.
Oh my. I wish you and Emma well and hope that you both have a speedy recovery.

Heavens! I do hope you all get better soon. Sending prayers your way x
So sorry for Emma and also you! Not only for enduring your pneumonia, but Emma's as well. It's always easier for a mother to be sick herself than to watch her child suffer.
Kelly, here's to making it this far, congratulations! I have an award for you!!
Hi Kelly,
Just dropping by to find out how you girls are doing.
I hope you've both made a good recovery and that you'll be back in the "posting" saddle in short time.
Take care,
Jenny
Very sorry to hear this. I've been round and round with sickness for a month and I hope she recovers quickly! You'll all be in my thoughts and prayers.
Oh my word, when you were talking about flu, headaches and sore backs, my mind skipped to meningitis too. I'm so relieved that it wasn't that bad.
I've just been wondering how you've been doing?
